Plagiarism Policy

While preparing a manuscript draft, authors must ensure the originality of their work. If authors have cited or quoted the work and/or words of others, they must do so properly in the manuscript. All articles submitted to the Journal of Young Pharmacists (JYP) will be subjected to an iThenticate plagiarism check (online plagiarism detection software). If plagiarism is discovered during the entire process, the manuscript(s) will be immediately rejected. If plagiarism is confirmed/established after publication, the manuscript(s) will be withdrawn from the journal, an appropriate statement will be made, and strict action will be taken against the authors, including but not limited to debarring them from future publication. We can bring such instances to the attention of the author’s funding agencies, their institutes (where they work), and the original authors whose work has been plagiarized. When investigating plagiarism complaints, the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) will also be consulted.
